FIRE Tracker ("the app") is a personal financial independence planning tool. Our privacy promise is simple: your data never leaves your device.
None. We do not collect, transmit, store on any server, or have any access to any of your personal or financial information. The app works fully offline.
All information you enter (income, expenses, assets, goals, family details) is stored only on your own device, protected with AES-256-GCM encryption using a key derived from your personal PIN (PBKDF2, 100,000 iterations). It is never sent over the internet.
If you choose to set up recovery questions, your answers are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM and are used only to let you reset a forgotten PIN. They never leave your device and are not visible to us or anyone else.
You can optionally export an encrypted backup file of your data and save it wherever you choose (for example Google Drive, Gmail, or WhatsApp). The backup stays encrypted with your PIN — it cannot be read by us, Google, or anyone else without your PIN. Restoring requires the backup file and your PIN. We never receive or store a copy.
The app has no sign-up, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs that collect data, and no cookies. The PIN you set is a local device lock, not an online account.
We share nothing with anyone, because we receive nothing from you. There are no third-party processors, advertisers, or analytics providers.
If you choose to subscribe to FIRE Tracker Premium, the purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see, collect, or store your payment card, bank, or billing details. Google Play only tells the app whether your subscription is active, so premium features can be unlocked. Purchase history and payment information are handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
You can erase everything at any time by using "Forgot PIN / Reset" inside the app, clearing the app storage, or uninstalling the app. Since data exists only on your device, deletion is immediate and complete.
The app is intended for users aged 18 and over and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
